2018 Stardance Vineyard Pinot Noir

Notes: Dark fruit, aromatic fresh herbs, violets and cracked pepper.
Palette: Joyful with gentle tannins and a smooth mouthfeel.

This wine is crafted with fruit exclusively from Stardance Vineyards, a premier high-elevation site within the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. This Pinot Noir was grown in a micro pocket of volcanic soil, a rarity in this AVA. These vines are without a rootstock, allowing its own roots to connect directly into soils rich with fully charged iron minerals, beautifully layered in a brittle strudel like pattern, facilitating the growth of deep roots that help extract nuanced character.

The resulting wine is an elegant Pinot Noir with layered aromatics of fresh herbs, violets, and cracked pepper. On the palette, it is joyful with gentle tannins and a smooth mouthfeel, with notes of blackberry and wet stone, all lifted by bright acidity.
