2020 Alit Chardonnay
Lemon maringue, fresh whipped creap, white flowers
Soft and juicy with white peach, white clover, and a citrus blast of acidity on the finish
To produce this energetic wine, we handpicked Chardonnay clusters from two unique vineyards, each one rich with rocky volcanic soils, located in the Eola Amity Hills and the Chehalem Mountains. The grapes were then direct pressed, fermented with wild yeast, and aged in oak barrels, 25% of which were new.
The resulting wine is bright with freshness. Expressive notes of white flower and ripe stone fruit mingle with nutty layers and distinct spices - all underpinned by a sharp mineral core and bright acidity. It's absolutely lovely with shellfish, soft cheeses, or just on its own. We think it's the perfect wine to light up any meal or happy hour.
