Notes: fresh quince and pineapple, toasted hazelnuts, nutmeg
Palette: round and bright, finishing with a lift
Our inaugural white from the Willamette Valley has the weight and character you’d expect from a signature Chardonnay, with a nuanced and elegant finish that begs another sip. It’s assertive, yet sophisticated, with hints of clove and allspice and heady aromas of baked apples and fresh bread.
To produce the full-bodied, complex wine we were after, we hand-harvested grapes from small nearby vineyards rich in volcanic soil and pressed them in whole clusters. Next came unhurried barrel fermentation with wild, native yeasts. Beyond a kiss of new oak, it required nothing but a watchful eye, care and patience to magically transform into the wine we’re thrilled to share with you.
We currently ship to all U.S. states except: AL, KY, UT, WY
